Uniform

Derrinallum College is transitioning to a new uniform.

From 2022 only present uniform items  will be acceptable.

During 2020 and 2021 previous uniform items  can continue to be worn.

Any existing uniform stock at the College will be sold at half price, while stocks last. We recommend that when replacement items are purchased they match the Present Uniform Details.

General Appearance

While at school, travelling to or from school or participating in school activities, Derrinallum P-12 College's students will comply with the following:
  • Uniforms must be clean and in good repair
  • Uniforms must be clearly marked with the owner's name
  • Additional layers of clothing may be worn underneath the uniform for added warmth, provided these undergarments are completely hidden.

Jewellery

Students are not permitted to wear decorative jewellery to school. Stud earrings and sleepers and watches, are the only acceptable jewellery.

Cosmetics

Other than foundation, cosmetics may not be worn at school.

Hair

Shoulder length or longer hair is to be tied back.

Sun Safety

Primary Students must wear uniform hats outside from mid-August to late April and any other day prescribed by the school. School uniform hats may also be worn outside of this time period, by parent or student choice.

Secondary Students are expected to take responsibility for being sun smart by wearing a school hat during outdoor activities or staying in the shade if they are not wearing sunscreen.

Sunglasses can be worn during outdoor activities. Sunglasses should be close-fitting, wrap-around that meet the Australian Standards 1067 and cover as much of the eye area as possible.
